Sick Days

Not for me, of course. I hear moms don’t get sick days, which I have decided to interpret as “moms don’t get sick”. (This is my operating plan for the next fifteen years or so. I’ll let you know how that goes.)

Do I look sick to you?

This week has been pretty uneventful. Winter is setting in quick, so we’re snatching whatever sunshine we can get.

Waiting for Dad to get home.

We met with the local Birth to Three coordinator to see what kind of speech therapy Nolan may need going forward. (Hat tip to Jen H. for pointing us in the right direction. Birth to Three is a state-by-state early intervention program for childhood development delays. If you’re interested, you can read more about our local program here.)

Not sure where we were headed, but he always knows where he's going.

Just in time, too. This morning, Niblet here was diagnosed with double ear infections. Again. This makes the third round of doubles in about six months. No surprise then that we’re being told the next step is very likely tubes in his ears.

A bit under the weather. Just a little, though.

You really wouldn’t know he was sick, except he’s moving slower than normal. Looking forward to having my little speed demon back in the next couple of days.

Hope you’re all doing well. Happy weekend, everybody!

(And just in case you need a little pick me up… You’re welcome.)
