Manic Monday

That’s a bit misleading, since we don’t do much in the way of ‘manic’ these days.

Except playtime, of course. That gets a little wild sometimes.

This was pretty much the headline of our weekend — little man’s newest trick! He likes climbing that one step up to reach the neighbor’s tree.

No doubt he's already contemplating how to climb it. (Possibly also how precisely to best chop it down. Poor tree.)

We were blessed with some particularly excellent weather this weekend, and spent most of the time rediscovering the gorgeous backyard we’ve got up here.

See, if mom was in charge, he wouldn't be climbing on that ledge. But dad got home early and mom was busy with the camera, so the rules bend a little easier.

(Yes, mom is aware that’s not exactly a recipe for obedience. At least I got a cool photo out of it.)

(Because, priorities.)

At any rate, a good time was had by all. Except John, of course. (He gets to work extra days during all this nice weather!)

Speech therapy is still going well. David-the-SLP is pleased with Nolan’s progress, especially given his behavior with our company last week. We’re still working toward the goal of getting him into preschool in the fall — we’ll be meeting with the school system folks soon to work out those details.

The shirt is misleading. It should say
The shirt is misleading. It should say “I AM a workout! Naps are negotiable. Maybe. If I feel like it.”

Hope you’ve all had an excellent weekend. Happy Monday, manic or otherwise!

Oh! And…
