Somehow life goes on.
My dusty, trusty Dell laptop bit the big one a couple of weeks ago. The computer docs say it’s terminal, I’m sorry to report. And while we haven’t yet acquired a replacement model, John was kind enough to lend me his long enough to show you some of what we’ve been up to these last couple of weeks.
First off, just to let ya’ll know, I’m filing a formal complaint. Did you know it can actually get HOT up here? I mean, like, Ohio River Valley muggy-deathtrap hot.
Okay, probably I’m overstating the issue. But given our proximity to Canada, I thought we were guaranteed a deathtrap-free climate. Or at least a summer in the double digits only.
(Yes, you all are free to remind me about this post come February when I haven’t been warm in months and cabin fever has set in.)
We try not to let it slow us down too much, though.
John is getting his fill of the weather too, if his work schedule has anything to say about it. Aside from a brief (like, five-day) stint on night shift, we’ve only seen him about one waking hour of any given day the last few weeks!
But hey, that’s a vast improvement over this time last year.
We’ve got some pretty big changes coming up in the next month or so. Monkey boy up here will be starting preschool (ACK!), John’s work project is moving into it’s final stages, and I’ve got, ya know, some stuff going on too. We’ll keep you posted.
Have a great weekend, everybody!
