A Proper Wisconsin Send-Off

Since Christmas in Indiana is forecasted to be 70F and stormy, Wisconsin decided to pony up the goods this week.

One last snow (plus a few hours in the deep-freeze) before we head south.

As you might imagine, things have been a little hectic around here, what with the move. And the infant. And the toddler. Oh yeah, and Christmas.

Might be the tidiest that room has been in a month.

Big guy here had a couple of milestones — first haircut (I know, FINALLY) and just yesterday, the last day of preschool for this year.

Needless to say, he left a trail of broken hearts behind.

Hopefully we’ll be resuming speech therapy in Indiana; we’ll know more after the holidays.

Chunky monkey here is growing like crazy.

I had to buy the 1-year-old size hat to cover that genius-wielding cranium of his.

We’re all excited to be going home for the holidays, John more than anybody. He finally gets a few days off!

It’s like my mom always said: “God helps those who help themselves.”

Take a look at the boxes stacked in the corner in that photo. Nolan got into my tea stash and decided the boxes would make excellent stacking blocks — notice anything about the color pattern?

(Also, I swear, he doesn’t get unlimited access to the tablet. That’s just the stillest he ever gets these days!)

Somebody discovered the self-facing camera on my phone this week. Many selfies ensued!

I just want to say — thanks everybody for keeping up with us the last fifteen months. We’re not yet sure where the next chapter of RoamingRudys is set, but we’ll let you know as soon as we figure it out!

Merry Christmas, everybody. Have a safe and happy new year!
